What is Puffery? as a legal term refers to promotional statement and claims that express subjective rather than objective views, such that no reasonable person would take them literally.


Describe the principles of Puffery:
To be classified as puffery, it has to be statements that are either true or exaggerating an opinion but no part of it can be a lie or exaggeration of a fact


Provide examples of Puffery in advertising:
Examples of puffery in advertising would be if a coffee shop says in its slogan that it has the "worlds best cup of coffee" or in Snapple's slogan "Made from the best stuff of earth".



How does puffery support a companies ability to advertise?
Puffery supports a compainies ability to advertise by allowing them to strecth the truth. This give costomers a veiw of all the good aspects of why they should purchase from their company.
